Welcome to my crazy and beautiful little world!
Hey! I am Mikayla- most call me Mikki or Mik! I love all things outdoors, animals, and babies...Just ask my family. Being a girl from Ohio, I love being able to capture the many different types of scenery we Ohioans have whether its the beaches, cities, woods, farmland, and much more.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Tyler. He’s pretty awesome and is my number one supporter. We have been together since junior year and can honestly say we have NEVER broken up. We weren’t those high schoolers that were off and on… We literally KNEW we were going to get married and that was it. If you want to know what made me like him… His BIG white f-150. I know I’m a loser. It’s cool.
Together, we have newborn son, named Orin, born in Sept 2023. Learning to be a mother has been one of the best and most rewarding, but hardest things ever. We also have a chubby kitty cat, and chickens. I absolutely love to garden. there is something about working hard to plant something so small, to grow something so mighty that truly amazes me every single year.
When I am not working, you can catch me thrift shopping, watching Outlander, or possibly taking a trip to our families cabin in West Virginia. I absolutely love the woods and nature, so will catch pieces of nature incorporated in almost every session.
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is capturing raw emotion and candid moments. The best moments in life are the ones that pass by so quietly that we don’t miss them until they are gone. Holding your Childs hand as they nuzzle into your chest, the sweet kisses your fiancé gives you as he pulls you in closer, where you feel so very safe. These moments are absolute gems, and we must treasure them and capture them.
One of my biggest goals as a photographer is to serve the whole community. My intent is to let everyone know they are welcome through my studio doors. I want each of my clients to know they are absolutely loved and valued. Regardless of race, gender or or orientation, I am here to capture your moments, and your life.
